Hyundai Motor Co. of South Korea announced that it will exhibit its fuel cell concept car, i-Blue FCEV, at the 62nd International Motor Show Cars in Frankfurt.
Thus far, Hyundai manufactured fuel cell vehicles based on its SUVs such as Santa Fe and Tucson. This time, the company reduced the fuel cell size and mounted it on a two-plus-two seater CUV.
The i-Blue FCEV was developed at the Hyundai Design and Technical Center in Chiba, Japan. According to the company, the vehicle is designed to incorporate its third-generation fuel cell technology developed at the Hyundai Eco-Technology Research Institute in Mabuk, Korea. The company plans to establish a mass production technology of fuel cell vehicles within the next 10 years |
